This school now has 39 classes, 135 faculties and 1638 on-campus students. Teachers who had received three-year college education and are aged at or below 35 account for 97% and 70% respectively.

In the course of transformation into an urbanization school, Shengpu Experimental Primary School is seeking with great efforts for a qualitative change. Constantly striving to become stronger, Ms. Zhou Lihong (nickname: “Magic Baby”) loves others and is loved by others. Her act and story edify every student and teacher in Shengpu Experimental Primary School and have been passed over everywhere of the country. Based on the spirit of “Magic Baby”, we focus our teaching mainly on “Five Love” principle – love life, love study, love class, love others and love hometown, which has in the early time been embed in the hearts of every students in Shengpu Experimental Primary School.

After ringing at 3:25PM every day, students may take different levels of courses according to their own learning abilities and interests, with the present administrative classes unchanged. This is the so-called “Menu-style” teaching.

Various extra-curricular activities are available here, such as, chess, calligraphy, traditional Chinese painting, caricature and etc. In dynamic combination of students’ learning ability and teaching classes, small adjustment is required in each semester to ensure every student here is studying at the suitable courses or learning levels.

Further, the modern reading room, a popular place in particular after class, is available 24hs per day. In front of the Reading Bus regularly sent from the municipal library, there’s always a long line, which forms a special view in the school.
